Deployment Day

Ok these are in reverse order as you can tell, but...We started out our morning at Dennys for breakfast!! Then had to take a shot of Elmo with all this supplies, its a lot for the little guy to carry, next we have Brandon carrying 2 out of 3 bags. Don't let the picture fool you he was struggling!! I had one bag, the size of a back pack and I thought I was going to fall on my face! The last two are the final minutes before we said our goodbyes. As you can see we are both all smilies, it was a great morning and we said goodbye on a positive, happy note. His plane should be taking off any minute now, I'll keep you updated as I hear from him.

  3. I admire how positive you both were today:) Thanks for adding the pictures, Ashley;) Lilian likes that Elmo is strapped to Nan's ruck sack! Also, did you put the energy drink next to the sleeping pills on purpose? Hilarious!

I'm glad you got to share a nice day together and you were both able to stay strong and positive for one another. I am loving Elmo's adventure and I love that you took care of all the really important things in life like Bdubs =) Funny the things that bring us comfort, but I am with ya!! Look forward to all the updates, you guys are doing something really great here!!

  5. Nichole, So funny that you noticed that! We bought it this morning and the lady at Walgreens was like, that is the weirdest combination ever!!

I just heard from Brandon, he landed in New Hampshire. They thought they were going to have a 2 hour lay over, but they were told to sit back down and they are taking off for Germany!
